Matthew Bourne's Swan Lake in 3D
|
Matthew Bourne's triumphant re-interpretation of one of ballet's classic and most beloved stories, Swan Lake. Winner of three Tony Awards this mesmerizing and stunningly powerful performance comes to selected cinemas. Matthew Bourne's Swan Lake in 3D turns
tradition upside down by replacing the traditional female corps de ballet with a menacing male ensemble and was pre-recorded at Sadler's Wells, London in 2011 with a stellar cast, including the magnificent Richard Winsor as the lead Swan/Stranger, Dominic
North as The Prince and Nina Goldman as The Queen. This special interpretation of Swan Lake incorporates a theatrical storyline into the classic ballet-making it a must-see for both dance enthusiasts and theatre fans alike. Edgy and dramatic, Matthew Bourne
tells the eternal story of tragic and forbidden love with dynamic modern day flair.

T Rextasy
|
On 8 September 1972 a record that would inspire future generations was released by the one of the most flamboyant and charismatic bands of the original glam rock era. Marc Bolan and T.Rex stormed the charts with one of his most memorable and distinctive
songs of that decade – ‘Children of the Revolution’.
4O years on the song has become iconic and legendary, along with Bolan’s other best selling anthems of that year that included, ‘Metal Guru’, Solid Gold Easy Action’, and ‘Telegram Sam’ T.Rextasy have now been performing around the world for 20 years, a career
that ironically out lives Marc’s very own T.Rex.
The band is now accepted as the world’s only official live tribute band dedicated to Marc Bolan & T.Rex, and the only band endorsed and approved by Marc Bolan’s family, estate, original ex-members of T.Rex, and Bolan’s catalogue management.
The band has been described by many as ‘beyond the boundaries of tribute’. Truly a rock’n’roll concert for all ages.

Running time: 3 hours (estimate) including host introduction and one 20-minute intermission
Julie Walters plays Judy Haussman with Rory Kinnear and Helen McCrory as her children in this eagerly-anticipated new play: a funny, touching and sometimes savage portrait of a family that’s losing its grip. Part of National Theatre Live – the best of British

for her work. Her screen credits range from Educating Rita to celebrated work with Victoria Wood, from lead roles in the movies of Mamma Mia! and Harry Potter to portraying Mo Mowlam for Channel 4.

The Owl Who Was Afraid of The Dark
|
Based on the classic children’s book by Jill Tomlinson, this funny, gentle and reassuring tale is written especially for small people aged 3 - 7 (and grown-up’s who sleep with the big light on!)
Adapted for the stage by Lynn Robertson Hay, with music and lyrics by Frank Goodhind. Directed and designed by Bill Davies.
Plop was a baby Barn Owl. He lived at the top of a tall tree, in a field. He was fat and fluffy. He had big round eyes. He had very knackety knees. Plop was exactly the same as every barn owl that has ever been – except for one thing. He was AFRAID of the DARK.
“I don’t like it” said Plop. “I do not like it AT ALL!” One day, Mrs Barn Owl suggested that Plop fly down into the world and find out about the dark for himself. So, Plop climbed out of his nest-hole, peeped over the edge, wobbled a bit, and fell off his
branch. And so, began Plop’s adventure... With an irresistible blend of live music, puppetry and storytelling, this beautiful new show introduces an old friend to a new generation of theatre-goers. Join Plop, the baby barn owl as he journeys into the night-time
world of campfires, fireworks, starry nights and moonlit adventures.

|
